One-Winter Gals 2007

Kalmiette was one of the larger triplets, and she never lost ground to her brothers.  She has proved to be very parasite resistant, and we suspect that she carries moorit due to the dark chocolate color that her fleece is now.  From birth she has been a pistol, just like her grandma, and I hope we can build the same friendship that I had with Kalmia. Kalmiette carries some fantastic genetics, so it will be interesting to watch her grow. She will be bred to Hoss this year.

Mulberry is a twin from a one-winter gal, and although she started life on the small side, she has grown like a weed this Summer, and shows every indication of becoming a large, solid ewe.  She has a golden brown fleece that is very heavy and crimpy like her mothers', and lovely horns.  We are delighted to have another quality moorit gal in the HolliBerri flock.  Mulberry will be with Quince for 2008 lambs.  One lamb reserved

Nikko is the largest of our ewe lambs this year, so it does pay to be an "only".  She has the most beautiful heavy fleece and a set of perfect horns which we hope she will pass on to her offspring.  This gal has everything we could ask for in an Icelandic ewe, and we are thrilled to add her to our breeding line-up.  Nikko will be bred to Dragon for 2008 lambs.  Expect spots!  One lamb reserved

This little gal should be called "The Come-back Kid", since she has triumphed over so many challenges in her short life.  Even if she never produces a single lamb, she will always have a place in our flock as an example of courage and the power of persistence.  Way to go, Tabria!  If she is big enough, Tabria will also be with Dragon for 2008 lambs.

I was hoping for a horned black or grey out of Inkberry and Ilex, and I got part of my wish.   Sugarberry is a lovely ewe with very good horns - just not colored.  She carries black and possibly moorit from Ilex - can't wait to see what her lambs will look like!  Sugarberry will be bred to Ash this season.  One lamb reserved
