Daughters by Morison
HBI 179U Valeda (4/12/08)
Black badgerface polled twin
Lambing record: 0, 1, 1
Sire: TCE 342T - AI Morison: bloodlines from Kongur, Arfi, Eir, Askur,
Heli, Saddleback, and Old Mori
Dam: Vesta (SRX 49N) - AI Vestri daughter: Hynkill and Askur
Valeda's curious conformation has evened out as she has grown, and she now looks very solid.
She produces loads of fleece, and hopefully will be an excellent ewe for our dairy when she
reaches her maturity.
HBI 147U Moriah (4/20/08)
Black polled triplet
Lambing record: 1, 1, 1, 2
Sire: TCE 342T - AI Morison: bloodlines from Kongur, Arfi, Eir, Askur,
Heli, Saddleback, and Old Mori
Dam: Arwen (SRX 58N) - AI Sveppur daughter: Saddleback and Blessa
Moriah is another one of those perfect Icelandic ewes. She grew beautifully, conceived easily,
lambed unassisted, mothered the lamb, and had plenty of milk, even as a one-winter girl. You
can't ask for much better than that! Moriah finally had twins this year - homozygous black rams
by Trumpkin.
HBI 148U Rhapsody (4/20/08)
Black spotted polled triplet
Lambing record: 0, 2, 1
Sire: TCE 342T - AI Morison: bloodlines from Kongur, Arfi, Eir, Askur,
Heli, Saddleback, and Old Mori
Dam: Arwen (SRX 49N) - AI Sveppur daughter: Saddleback and Blessa
This is probably my favorite ewe that came out of our Tongue River brood. She has a perfect
pattern, and is just as nicely built as Moriah. Rhapsody did not lamb in 2009, but had twin boys
for us in 2010.
TCE 438U Cara (4/23/08)
Moorit spotted polled twin
Lambing record: 0, 1, 2
Sire: TCE326T - AI Morison: bloodlines from Askur, Heli, Golsa,
and Saddleback
Dam: TCE392T - bloodlines from Dalur, Dropi, Askur, Hynkill X 2, Bassi,
Skreppur, Flekkur, Eir, Heli, Golsa, and Saddleback
Cara's father is a half-brother to the black Morison, so I put her on this page. She has stayed
rather short and had a very cobby build as a young yearling. Now she is finally starting to
lengthen out and looks to have a gorgeous fleece - time will tell if she ever gets any taller! Cara
had twin boys by Rahl in 2011.
