More Lambs 2007
4/6/07   Inkberry gave birth to twin white ewe lambs out of Ilex, hopefully with horns.
The larger weighed 6.5 pounds, the smaller weighed 6 pounds.  These should be awesome
lambs with the combination of Visir and Laekur genetics, and most likely carry color
judging by the black spots on their legs.  One will stay, and one will be for sale.  Better
pictures coming soon.
4/6/07   Beech lambed a few hours after Inkberry, and had these two gorgeous twin ewe
lambs out of Hokan.  The white girl was 7.5 pounds and will stay for sure; the spotted
baby weighed 8.5 pounds, and may be for sale.  Its hard for me to part with any Serkur
genetics!
4/6/07   At 11:30 p.m., Noelle gave birth to these hefty horned white ram lambs out of the
fabulous Tolkisson of The Lavender Fleece; both weighed 9 pounds.  These boys have a
fantastic genetic package for anyone who wants both fine fleece and sturdy conformation
either in a purebred or a cross-breeding program.  More pictures later.  Whitest lamb
reserved.
4/7/07   Redbud had her first ever lambs today out of Saguaro, and boy are they colorful!
The eldest lamb weighed 8 pounds and is a moorit/grey spotted ram.  The second lamb
was a surprise!  Caimyn (named after our grandson) weighed only 4.5 pounds and is a
moorit/grey spotted badgerface ram.  He is just as active as his larger twin and apparently
doesn't know that he's an afterthought.  Due to their "mixed" horn heritage, these fellows
will most likely be wethered, although they have good horn buds.  Both lambs reserved.
4/7/07  Update: Bramble's beautiful gal out of Ash has survived, but although she is alert,
eating well, and performing all bodily functions, she is still unable to stand.  Progress is
being made - she now can wag her tail, twitch her rear legs, and curl her front legs under
her, but we are uncertain how much of this is reflex.   We have been giving her daily
Vitamin B shots, and flexing her legs at every feeding.   If anyone has any thoughts on
how to help her, please let me know.  She is fighting so hard for life that we don't want to
give up.
