Proven Ewes
LF23P  MardiGras  (4/26/04)
Black spotted polled twin
Lambing record:  1, 1, 1,
1
Sire:  Gauguin (BLW123K) - AI Helison
Dam:  DS13M - carries bloodlines form Old Mori X 2,
                          Saddleback, and  Golsa
This wonderful ewe was Kalmia's mother, and Tiger's grandmother, and we now have a decent
percentage of the Holliberri flock related to her.  As you can see, MardiGras is prone to lambing
singles, but what she lacks in quantity she makes up for in quality.  In addition to all the offspring
by Tiger, we have kept last year's ewe lamb out of Hokan and this year's ewe lamb out of Ilex,
and we now have a great granddaughter as well.  All of her daughters have been horned when
she has been bred to a horned ram - she might throw polled if bred to polled.  MardiGras has
lovely, silky fleece and a nice meat conformation.  Her grandfather had a very high BLUP milk
score for daughters.

HYV3S Snowdrop (4/30/2006)
White horned twin
Lambing record: 0,
1
Sire - Brendan (TNY822P) - AI son of Aboti;
                                        carries bloodlines from Golsa
                                          and Old Mori
Dam: DL47P - Kani granddaughter, Molur great grand-
                       daughter;  carries bloodlines from Golsa,
Old Mori X 2, and Gray Pet
JDDL108R  Briar (3/18/2005)
   Moorit spotted horned twin
   Lambing record: 1, 2,
1
Sire: GTF202N - Old Mori and Saddleback
   Dam:  Endive (HAM3L) - Smokeham Farms triplet;
                                             Old Mori x 3
As I said, it has been a strange year - I would have expected twin lambs out of Briar also, but am
very pleased that Hawthorn gave us a daughter to keep out of this ewe. Briar has exceptional
fleece and a history of triplets in her family - she also tends to throw her spots.  We have her twin
sister, Bramble, in the flock, who has proved to be more amenable to milking than Briar, so
reluctantly we have decided to part with this lovely gal.  Briar has no AI bloodlines which is
reflected in our asking price.

LF206S  Wintergreen (5/17/06)
White horned single
Lambing record: 0,
1
Sire:  Hoss (LF105R) - AI son of Peli:  carries bloodlines
                                    from Hunn, Mjalder, Thettir,
                                 Haengur, Dropi, Old Mori,
                                 and Saddleback
Dam:  Anna (WLW31R) - carries bloodlines from Flotti,
                                         Finull, Old Mori X 2,
                                      Solee X 2, and Golsa
I may end up kicking myself for selling this ewe - she is a lovely animal with a very sweet
personality, but I want to keep her daughter by Hawthorn, and I am saving several other lambs
out of Hoss this year, so I need to let her go.  Wintergreen's mother was a grey mouflon, and
Hoss carries spotting, so she should throw color if bred to the right ram.  She has a Who's Who of
AI bloodlines, and will be wonderful addition to any flock.

HBI55T  Sugarberry  (4/6/07)
White horned twin
Lambing record:
1
Sire:  Ilex (LF111R) - AI Visirson; carries bloodlines
                                  from Moli, Solee, and Finull
Dam:  Inkberry (TCE240R) - Laekur, Garpur, Eir,
                                           Heli, and Saddleback X 2
This is another ewe that I may end up kicking myself for selling, but I have her twin sister, and I can't
keep everything, even though I want to!!!  This gal threw us a beautiful black spotted ram lamb by
Ash this year, so we know she carries solid and spotting - not sure about moorit.  She is going to be
big girl when she is full grown, with a wide stance and great meat conformation.  Sugar also has a
heavy, silky fleece.  She will also be a fine addition to anyone's flock.

LF199S    Camellia (4/30/06)
Black mouflon horned twin
Lambing record:  1,
2
Sire:  Tolkis (NMI428P) - Flotti grandson; carries
bloodlines from Golsa and Old Mori X 4
Dam:  Angie (SRX388M) - carries bloodlines from
Hunn, Dropi, Finull, Old Mori X 3, Golsa
                                         and Saddleback
Camellia has been a great performer for us, with an excellent production record, always lambing
unassisted.  We are keeping her daughter from this season to boost our milk genetics and we kept
BabyToes from last year, so we have reluctantly decided to offer this gal for sale.

Snowdrop is a daughter of the only Abotison in the United States, and so has fleece both top and
bottom in her pedigree, as well as a high BLUP score for milk production.  Her mother was solid
black, so she should carry solid, but her lamb this year was white.  It has been a strange year - I
would have expected twin lambs, as she has a family history of multiples, but there you have it.  I
am keeping her twin sister and one of her nieces by Tatarian, so have decided to put Snowdrop on
the Sales List.
