HAM3N  Bruschetta (3/27/2003)
   Black/grey horned twin
   Lambing record: 1,2, 2,
2
Sire:  LF6M - Lavender Fleece spotted ram; Old Mori x 4 plus Saddleback
Dam:  Hyssop (BLW039F) - Jager ewe: Old Mori bloodlines
Almost as large as Athena, this ewe is an extremely friendly girl.  Her fleece is very heavy with
thel, and the coarse tog separates easily.  I found the tog to be a joy to spin, and not near as
scratchy as I thought it should be.  Bred by Smokeham Farms, Bruschetta carries bloodlines
from The Lavender Fleece, Jager Farms, Yeoman Farms, and Tongue River Farms, all major
players in the development of North American Icelandics.  Bruschetta will be bred to Firethorn
for 2008 hoping for some moorit/grey lambs.

HAM05P  Caraway (4/1/2004)
    Moorit/grey horned single
    Lambing record: 1, 2, 2,
2
Sire:  LF6M - Lavender Fleece spotted ram (see above)
Dam:  Hyssop (BLW039F) - Jager ewe
This full sister to Bruschetta has wonderful thick fleece that has a unique "pink" tint to it in the
sun.  The tog and thel were easy to separate, and both spun wonderfully.  Caraway has a good
solid conformation, even better than her sister does.  With perfectly shaped horns and a chiseled
profile, this gal is among the best the New World has to offer.  Caraway's lambs out of Ilex are
exceptional, so she will be bred to Ilex again this season.
JDDL108R  Briar (3/18/2005)
       Moorit spotted horned twin
       Lambing record: 1, 2,
1
Sire: GTF202N - Old Mori and Saddleback
Dam:  Endive (HAM3L) - Smokeham Farms triplet;  Old Mori x 3
This well-proportioned Miss from Jordandal Farms is absolutely beautiful.  Out of a chocolate
moorit ram, she appeared to have well-defined chocolate spots.  What a surprise when she was
shorn!  This animal had the most fabulous lamb fleece - tog and thel both soft and crimpy.  AND
because of her speckled pattern, I got three shades of wool from her; shimmering white, chocolate
brown, and cafe au lait.  These sheep are loaded with hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.
Briar will be bred to Hawthorne this season, hoping for some moorit spotted lambs.

JDDL109R  Bramble (3/18/2005)
       Moorit horned twin
       Lambing record:  1, 2,
2
Sire:  GTF202N - Old Mori and Saddleback
Dam:  Endive (HAM3L) - Smokeham Farms triplet:  Old Mori x 3
This chocolate brown twin to Briar has a long, meaty conformation and beautiful wavy fleece.
Like Briar, her lamb wool was exceptionally soft and wonderful to spin.  After shearing in the Fall,
she developed a silvery tog over the dark thel, which looks just awesome.  She is the product of
some of the finest North American breeders, including Fresli Farms, Tongue River Farms,
Woolfarm, and Yeoman Farms. Bramble carries spotting.  Bramble will be bred to Ilex this year.
MAE205N  Witch-hazel (4/7/03)
      Black horned twin
      Lambing record: 1, 2, 2, 2,
1
Sire:  HFI023L - Old Mori offspring
     Dam:  MAE2L - Old Mori x 4 and Saddleback
This long, tall, matte-black ewe throws enormous lambs (see photo)!  She has a muscular build, and
the most awesome soft fleece in the world.  Witch has "Old Mori" FIVE TIMES in her pedigree,
which explains the lushness of her wool, which is almost all heavy thel.  This gal carries bloodlines
from Misty Meadow, Tongue River Farms, Walker Fork Sheep Camp, and Yeoman Farms - her
quality is evident.  Witch will be bred to Ash this season.
