Polled Girls
TCE 240R  Inkberry (4/19/2005)
Black spotted scurred twin
Lambing record: 2, 2, 2, 2, 1!, 2
Sire: SRX802L - Son of Laekur, grandson of Garpur, Saddleback genetics
Dam: TCE130N - Eir/Heli grandaughter,  Saddleback genetics
This sturdy "little" gal came to us from The Creek's Edge, and everything we would want in a
breeding ewe.  She has a gentle personality, and a fantastic muscular build.  With the AI
bloodlines that she carries, we expect great things from Inkberry.  She was bred to Zed for 2009,
and produced two lovely daughters.  This made 6 girls and 2 boys for Inkberry, and a 200%
lambing record!!  She was bred to Pol for 2010 lambs and had lucky daughter # 7, which broke
her twinning streak, but is fine by us!

TCE 354T  Pippi Longstocking  (4/16/07)
White polled twin
Lambing record:  0, 1(AI), 0, 1
Sire:  AI ram Ormur
Dam:  TCE 024L - Heli granddaughter; bloodlines from Saddleback X 2
                             and Old Mori

This "Long Tall Sally" comes to us from the Creek's Edge, where her fabulous son by the AI
ram Mori fathered wonderful lambs in 2010.  Pippi is beautifully built, with gorgeous fleece and
a winning personality - she's just more leggy than the rest of our polled gals.  Unfortunately, she
has a pretty dismal lambing record, and might be open again this year.
TNY 542N  Heidi (4/6/03)
White polled single
Lambing record: 0, 1, 2, nb, nb, 2, 2, 1, 0
Sire:  AI ram Horvi, son of Spakur
Dam:  SRX219H - carries bloodlines from Golsa X 2 and Saddleback X 2
This beautiful gal and her flockmates came to us as a gift from a professional sheep dog trainer in
Michigan who discovered that Icelandics aren't the best subjects for young herd dogs to practice
on.  Some Icelandics will herd back!  Though Heidi definitely needed a hairdresser, the structure
underneath "the blanket" was strong and lovely.  She is one of a handful of Horvi '99 offspring
left in the US, and a welcome addition to the polled Icelandic group in our flock.  Heidi cast
herself and aborted a white ewe lamb in early April.
Milar was a rather large lamb for a one-winter ewe to deliver, and she had some selenium issues
during the summer, which caused her to be slower growing than her peers.  Because of this, we
chose not to put her with a ram until the very end of breeding season, so she stayed open her
first year.  Milar has very lush, blue/grey fleece, and a calm personality.  She is going to be an
awesome ewe when she matures.
HBI 99U  Milar  (4/9/08)
Black/grey polled single
Lambing record:
 0, 0, 1,
Sire:  Chinquapin (LF116R) - Rektor/Leifur grandson; carried bloodlines from
Moli X 2, Morro, Serkur, Dropi, Blesi, Ari, Blessa,
                                    Old Mori X 4, and Solee X 2
Dam:  Snowberry (HBI56T) - Visir granddaughter; carries bloodlines from Moli,
Laekur, Garpur, Eir, Heli, Solee, and Saddleback X 2
Snowberry got her mothers' personality, her fathers' build, and Eirs' fleece.  This gal is a walking
cloud of gorgeous white fiber, which is why we can't part with her.  She has the potential to
carry a variety of colors and patterns - she threw a polled grey daughter out of Chinquapin in
2008.
