1993:  Askur                             BLUP milk index:  99
This ram was not used very often, and there are only
sketchy records concerning him.  Not to be confused with
the horned Askur (97-835).

Weight: 218 lbs.    Chest: 42 in.      Width of Rack: 10 in.

Canon Bone: 4.8 in.      Principally used for meat production
1993:  Heli                         BLUP milk index:  110
Even though this ram was polled, you will find his genetics
in many North American horned flocks. This is due
primarily to his color, although his statistics were quite
good.

Weight: 189 lbs.       Chest: 43 in.      Width of Rack: 9 in.

Canon Bone:  4.8 in.   Eye Muscle:  1.4 in.   Backfat: .19 in.

1993:  Mjalder                               BLUP milk index:  99
This ram was a grandson of Moli 90-300, not to be
confused with the "related to everyone" Moli (
see below),
and was a son of Thettir.   Mjalder was outstanding in
everything.  The second ram ever to get a fleece score of
9,  Mjalder passed on great meat scores to his offspring.

Weight:  189 lbs.        Chest: 42.5 in.        Width of Rack: 10 in.

Canon Bone: 4.8 in.     Eye Muscle:
1.6 in.        Backfat: .19 in.

Scored 9 for back, 18 for leg, and 9 for fleece
93-985
1993: Moli                              BLUP milk index:  99
This ram is probably one of the most popular sires in Iceland
to ever come out of Southram, producing numerous
offspring better than himself.  Our Athena is a Molidottir,
and you can see how large
she is.  Moli is a true flock
improver.

Weight: 207 lbs.        Chest: 42.5 in.        Width of Rack: 10 in.

Canon Bone: 5 in.        Eye Muscle:
1.7 in.
93-986
1994: Noi                                     BLUP milk index:  102
This ram scored an amazing 9.5 for fleece, and he is
treasured by owners of fleece flocks because his
descendants inherit this quality.  I think he is one of the
prettiest sires to come out of Southram.  He was bred to
meatier ewes with conformation improvement in the
lambs.

Weight: 193.5 lbs.        Chest: 41 in.      Width of Rack: 9 in.

Canon Bone: 5 in.
94-995
1994 - Prestur                    BLUP milk index:  77
This is the second Leadersheep ram to be offered by
Southram, and he really threw his coloration.  VERY
black!  Like Ari, Prestur was never scored by Southram
standards.
1995:  Bambi                                  BLUP milk index:  99
This ram is valued primarily for his color genetics and his
awesome horns; he is considered average as far as
Southram sires go.  His offspring have been unpredictable -
"when they were good, they were very, very good, but when
they were bad..."

Weight: 189 lbs.        Chest: 41 in.        Width of Rack: 9.8 in.

Canon Bone: 5 in.        Scored 8.5 for loin and 16.5 for leg
95-829
1995:  Ljori                                BLUP milk index:  103
A son of Horvi, this is the only Southram sire that I know of
that is listed as having a "hard temperament".  He is also
said to greatly improve flocks where plumpness is a
problem.  He is on the short side, and seems to pass on that
stocky build.

Weight: 196 lbs.         Chest: 40 in.        Width of Rack: 9.8 in.

Canon Bone: 4.6 in.       Eye Muscle: 1 in.        Backfat: .08 in.
1995:  Molur                             BLUP milk index:  110
A Horvi grandson, this ram sired milky, prolific daughters
with meaty conformation.  Loins and thighs on his
offspring were considered particularly good.  Molur
carried color; one of his sons is Kani.

Weight: 182.5 lbs.        Chest: 39 in.        Width of Rack: 9.8 in.

Canon Bone: 5 in.    Eye Muscle: 1 in.        Backfat: .12 in.
